how does the scheme work?
All Own Art customers must be:
· Over 18 years old
· Resident in the UK
· In possession of a bank or building society account that can operate standing orders
as a website customer
Choose the item(s) you wish to purchase, and call us to place your order, when we will go through the procedure with you. Once the loan has been approved you will be sent an agreement to sign, and shortly after this the goods will be sent to you (notwithstanding delivery times if an item is especially ordered from a designer). The agreement will then be between you and (on behalf of Arts Council England) HFC Bank, and you will receive a welcome pack from them within ten days.
as a customer in the gallery
We will complete a credit agreement with you and in most cases confirm the loan there and then, after which you can take your purchase away (notwithstanding delivery times if an item is especially ordered from a designer).
You will need to bring two forms of identification with you to the gallery – something with an address on it such as a driver's licence or utilities bill and something with your signature on it, such as a passport, credit or debit card.
